I asked you to get involved in selecting my best 10 photos from Novorossiya for auction at my special Donbass charity event on April 2nd in London. You emphatically got involved in that, via Facebook, with thousands upon thousands of votes cast , for photos to be auctioned to raise funds for humanitarian aid in Donbass.
Along with this, many requests online for the opportunity to be involved in online bidding. In the end, 20 photos of the ones selected were overwhelmingly popular, so I’m going to have them all put onto canvas, auction at least 10 at the London event, see about auctioning the rest online.
Each photo will be printed on canvas – 40cm by 40cm, signed by me. All are original works, taken by myself, untouched, just as they were taken. They will be signed, and are one-offs, not to be printed on canvas again.
The aim is to raise funds for Donbass, give you a unique work. I’m not sure how much these photos will fetch, so will set terms – 2/3 of the sale price of each will go to Donbass, 1/3 will cover costs. Even if 1/3 of the sale price doesn’t cover costs, 2/3 will still go to Donbass. Any excess will be put towards transportation costs of delivering humanitarian aid in Donbass.
I’ve identified the town of Pervomaisk, and hospitals in Donetsk as in particular need. I have connections in humanitarian aid in Pervomaisk, the traumatology, and war hospital in Donetsk, so will ensure all the funds are utilised in the most effective way possible – of which there will be filmed proof.
So, to the 20 photos, here they are, each with its own special story –
