Serbia Protests: Are They the New Euromaidan? 5 Points

Anti-government protesets have been going in Serbia for 8 evenings now, with crowds turning up to protest the recent election of Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić to the post of president.

Along the way, people have compared events to Euromaidan of Ukraine. However, I was in Belgrade this evening to report, as around 3000 turned up to march, and here are 5 points to note.

1. There is no real pro-EU sentiment among protesters, more the opposite
2. There is no anti-Russian sentiment
3. People there don’t think it’s similar to Euromaidan
4. There are no neo-Nazis, radicals, extremists, there I saw, most people are quite normal
5. It’s not aggressive

My full video reportage coming up soon.
